Epson projectors win two iF DESIGN AWARDS 2019
30 January 2019 – Two Epson projectors have won this year’s iF DESIGN AWARDS 2019, a globally recognised international award for excellence in product design.
The winning products, LightScene EV-100/EV-105 and EB-L610U/EB-L615U won in the Product - 1.07 section of the TV / Cameras category. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.
LightScene EV-100/EV-105 and EB-L610U/EB-L615U won over the 67-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world. The competition was intense: over 6,400 entries were submitted from 50 countries in hope of receiving the highly prestigious awards.
Epson’s product designs were awarded for the following attributes:
LightScene EV-100/EV-105: for its simple, unobtrusive and streamlined design which included the removal of apertures and wiring from the sides and contained hidden vents with a unique cylindrical ‘spotlight’ design.
EB-L610U/EB-L615U: for its simple, clean and compact design across its vertical and horizontal surfaces. Special features included its louvre-shaped vents which minimized noise and its unique slimline form with rounded corners.
