I receive an "iPhoto quit unexpectedly" error message when printing from iPhoto on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). What can I do?

Solution

  1. Click on the Apple menu and select Software Update from the list.
  2. Click on the Install button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

EXPLANATION:

When printing from iPhoto on a Mac running OS X Snow Leopard, an error message will appear after sending a job to print. The message is shown below:

iPhoto quit unexpectedly while using the IJPCFoundation plugin



When you click on OK the program and error message will close, returning you back to the Mac OS X desktop.

SOLUTION:

This problem is easily remedied by updating your Apple software, using the dedicated software update in the apple menu. The exact procedure is outlined below.

  1. Click on the Apple menu and select Software Update from the list. The following screen appears.


  2. A new screen appears listing all available software updates, one of which should be Epson Printer Drivers Update as shown in the example below.


  3. Click on the Install button located in the lower right-hand corner of the Software Update screen and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
